End of Life

SUMMARY

The end of life for Snare Server/Snare Central is dependent on the end of life of the Ubuntu version, and for version 7 of Snare Server the Ubuntu base of 14.04 is April 2019.

Version 7 of Snare Central still has patch support until January 2021. Customers should plan to move to version 8 of Snare Central before then.  

Each Snare Server patch/update release supersedes the last patch, and Prophecy International/Intersect Alliance always recommend to be at latest product level (for any Snare product) to ensure security updates/patches are applied, and therefore less prone to known vulnerabilities. All versions of Snare Server prior to version 7 are end of life. Please see this article for further information.

The legacy Snare Enterprise Agents; Snare Enterprise Agent for Windows (v4.3), Snare Enterprise Epilog for Windows (v1.8) and Snare Enterprise Agent for MSSQL (v1.4) will be reach end of life in January 2019. Please see this article for further information.
