Will running both the Snare Windows agents and Epilog agents consume alot of CPU?
Will running both the Snare Windows agents and Epilog agents consume alot of CPU?
SUMMARY
Jul 06, 2015
Many customers use both types of agents, the Snare Windows and the Epilog agents successfully on their windows systems.
Both the Snare Windows agent and Snare Epilog for Windows agent will not use much memory on the web server, usually less than 20 meg.
The CPU usage of each is usually related to the amount of activity of the logging system and generally will be < 5% CPU each. Most of the time they won’t appear in the task list at all and only appear if there was a sudden burst of events to process. So if they are both busy processing logs then they will consume resources.
