Gauge (Datablocks)
Overview / Description
Gauge datablock is used to display a single measure with an accompanying visualization.
Common Use Case
Gauge datablock is commonly used where a wallboard or a dashboard wants to draw attention to a single specific measure.
Add Gauge to a Page
1. Select the page where you want to add a datablock. In this example, Training Demo page is selected.
2. From Edit Page menu, select Add Content.
The Add Content setting will display.
3. Input the number of datablocks you want to add to the page, then click Add.
The Select Datablock sub-setting will display.
4. Select Gauge from the datablock options.
5. Update the Datablock Title, Gauge Types, and Datablock Style accordingly.
6. Click Add.
The added datablock will display on the page.
7. Under Edit Page menu, select Save Page to save the datablock in the page.
Once the changes have been saved, a success message will display on the top right corner of the screen.
Choose Datasource for Gauge
The Status datablock is blank by default upon adding it to the page and needs to have a data source.
1. On the datablock header, click the Choose Datasource icon.
The Choose DataSource setting will display.
2. Select a datasource to display on the datablock. In this example, the data source will be selected From Measure.
The Gauge will display according to the selected data source.
3. Under Edit Page menu, select Save Page to save the datablock in the page.
Gauge UI Controls
Change Type
Change Type allows you to change the display mode. The default display mode is Status.

Gauge Functionalities
Thresholds via KPI and UI
In this example, we are trying to show Salesforce Data. Average Sales Per Day is a KPI and its thresholds are set in KPI admin page.
Average Products sold Per Day is another KPI but here we have set KPI on the dashboard page
In this case, if the threshold is defined at KPI admin page as well as dashboard page, then the dashboard thresholds will override KPI admin thresholds.
