Double-click the downloaded file SnareAM-v{Version}-x64.msi file where {Version} is the most recent version of the file available.  You will be prompted with the following screens:

Welcome to the Snare Agent Manager Setup Wizard

This screen provides a brief overview of the product you are about to install. Where available, select "Next" to continue the installation, "Back" to return to the previous screen or "Cancel" to abort the installation.

End User License Agreement

The License Page displays the link to the End User License Agreement (EULA) for supported versions of the SAM. Please read the document carefully and if you accept the terms of the agreement, select "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" and the "Next" button will be enabled allowing the installation to continue.

Modify, Repair or Remove Installation (Existing install)

This screen provides the ability to Modify, Repair or Remove the installation of SAM found on your system.  This screen will only be displayed if the same SAM MSI is reran again.  Select the icon required and click the "Next" button.

Select Installation Folder

This screen provides the ability to select the folder where the Snare Agent Manager will be installed. If the folder name specified does not exist, it will be created. It is important that this folder has at least enough space available to install the Snare Agent Manager.

By default, the installation wizard will install Snare Agent Manager under Program Files\InterSect Alliance folder. If a different destination is desired, one may be selected via the "Browse" button, or by typing the full path name directly into the box.

Service Logon Information

A service account is required to operate SAM.  The default option is to use the in-built SYSTEM account.

Set Password

Please enter the password for the administrator account.  Ensure it meets the password complexity.  Passwords must comply with the following criteria:

• Meet at least 3 out of the following 4 complexity rules:
• At least 1 uppercase character (A-Z)
• At least 1 lowercase character (a-z)
• At least 1 digit (0-9)
• At least 1 special character (punctuation)
• At least 10 characters
• At most 128 characters
• Not more than 2 identical characters in a row (e.g. 111 not allowed).

The username for the administrator account, required to log in to SAM is admin.  Click the "Next" button.

Ready to Install

Select the "Back" button to return to previous screens and change any configuration.
Select the "Install" button to proceed with the installation of the Snare Agent Manager, or "Cancel" to abort the installation without making any changes.

This is the final screen of the installation wizard. By default, a readme file will be opened after selecting "Finish". Please review this for details of the changes made to the Snare Agent Manager.
