HOW TO: Configure a Page Theme
Overview / Description
This article discusses the different available options for page customization, and is intended for Dashboard Creators.
A page theme is comprised of a default background color (to be applied to a page), and a font color (to be applied to page name tabs).
Changing the Default Theme
The default theme setting is set by user configuration. This means that each user can select a theme to use as their default.
The default theme will apply to all pages that do not have an individual setting applied.
1. Under User Account menu, select Settings.
The Settings window will display.
2. Under Theme tab, select a theme you want to use as the default theme, then click Ok.
This setting will be applied to all pages with a “blank” or null theme applied (when viewed in Manage Page).
If a page has an individual theme applied, that configuration will overwrite the user’s global setting.
If a user with default theme of “dark” shares a page to a user with default theme of “light” but does not set an individual theme for the page, then the recipient will see the page with their own default theme.
Changing a Theme for a Specific Page
You can also change the theme for a specific page to be different from the default theme setting.
1. Under Manage menu, select Manage Page.
The Manage Page setting will display.
2. Under Page Theme, select a theme you want to apply to a specific page, then click Ok.
This setting will override the default theme setting.
To revert a page to the default theme, select the blank or “null” option (first option) from the dropdown menu.
Updating a Page Background
The page background color can be updated separately from the page theme setting.
1. Under Edit Page menu, select Page Background.
The Page Background setting will display.
2. Update the Page Background options accordingly, then click Ok.
