Snare macOS Agent v5.3.0 was released on 16th July 2019.

This is the first v5 Snare Enterprise Agent for macOS. Upgrade from legacy agents. e.g. version 1.1.7 is not supported. The first release of Snare for macOS Agent in the version 5 series is related to the 5.3 feature set and supports the following operating systems for 64-bit only:

Mojave 10.14
Support for older versions of macOS may be added in future releases

Known Issues

  • Domain licensing is not supported, this will be resolved in future version
  • FIM objective occasionally shows as Not Scheduled, restaring the agent may resolve in the first instance.  If this does not fix a restart of the machine will resolve.
