SUMMARY

Feb 10, 2016

Yes, the Snare Server is capable of using multiple network interfaces.

The collection services listen on all available interfaces for data. Once you have installed the hardware, the network device is likely to be shown as eth1, eth2, eth3 and so on, depending on the number of interfaces available.

How to add the network interface
  1. Log in as the 'snare' user from the console, or using SSH, and from the Administration menu that appears.

  2. Select the Networking itemĀ Change IP Address and other Network Settings.

  3. From the displayed items select the IP Address itemĀ Change the IP Address/Netmask, and Gateway of the Server.

  4. Select the interface you wish to modify. It will ask you for network-related settings for the interface.

  5. Once these network settings have been configured, reboot the server.
