- For stand alone installation of the Snare Agent Manager on Windows:
Upon installation, start a browser and navigate to https://localhost:6261. Depending on your browser settings you may get a certificate error, this is due to the self signed certificate that was generated for the web interface during the install process. This certificate can be modified in the general settings section at any time after the setup wizard is completed.
Once your browser has access the log on page is presented for you to enter your Username ('admin') and Password (default 'admin'). This default password can be changed via the setup wizard.Login with your credentials, using 'admin' as a username. After login you are presented with the SAM dashboard. - For Snare Agent Manager running on Snare Central Server,
log in to the Snare Central Server web user interface and navigate to Agent Management | Snare Agent Manager. The Snare Agent Manager opens in a new tab.

- When you access SAM for the first time after the installation, you will be greeted with a welcome screen with options to continue your journey with SAM.
Click Take me to the Dashboard.
- If your dashboard does not have any agent information, then you may add a network to scan for agents. The scan will search for all legacy (pre version 5.0) agents and version 5 agents.
- Your dashboard may already display agents, which may be set via the Snare Agent's Access Configuration page. The Snare Agent Manager IP field is updated to reflect the IP of SAM. If using localhost for your agent, this field will be localhost or 127.0.0.1.
