Although it is supported, it is not recommended to use an external USB drive with NTFS in it. If possible use ext4 formatted file system in the device as it is more reliable and faster. Please also note that FAT32 external drives are not supported.

Please note that NTFS devices are extremely slow compared with other Linux filesystems and both backup and restore operations can take considerably longer depending of the amount of data transferred when using this type of USB devices.

DVD Storage

If one or more DVD storage devices are detected in the system, the 'CD - DVD Device' selector will be enabled. Click on the selector to open the DVD mount dialog as shown below. Simply choose the device to mount from the drop down and click the MOUNT button and if the mount is successful click “NEXT” to go to the “File Selector” section showing backup contents. Mounting a DVD for backup purposes is not supported.
