HOW TO: Genesys Permissions for WFM Adherence Notification

Overview / Description

As a Genesys Cloud and eMite customer, you may experience an impact with recent WFM permission changes unless some minor permissions modifications are made.

This will insure the currently assigned WFM users have all the correct permissions prior to the planned March 15th changes to correctly enforce permissions. We find this mainly impact customers with WFM and eMite.

Work Force Management - Adherence Notification Permissions

Genesys Cloud will be enforcing permissions for Work Force Management Adherence Notifications starting March 2022. If users do not have the appropriate and previously documented permissions, their requests will generate a 403-error due to insufficient permissions. Your organization has been identified as one of these that need to make an adjustment.

To avoid this, we are reaching out to impacted customers to pre-emptively adjust the user permissions to avoid any issue.

Please have a Genesys Cloud administrator make the following adjustment to avoid any issues.

  • Add the WFM:realtimeAdherence:View permission to their current eMite Adapter role which is assigned to their current eMite OAuths.

The instructions/steps are as follows for your Genesys Cloud Administrator:

1. Log on to Genesys Cloud and select Admin.

2. Under People & Permissions, click Roles / Permissions.

3. Search for the eMite Adapter role.

4. Click the Permissions tab and search for the WFM:realtimeAdherence:View permission.

5. Select the corresponding checkbox.

6. Click Save.

Again, these changes will insure the currently assigned WFM users have all the correct permission prior to the planned March 15th changes. Failure to do so will result in eMite real-time not working after that March date.
