Snare is provided as a single-file self-extracting archive, and has been designed with an installation wizard and advanced silent install options to allow for easy installation and configuration of all critical components. The self-extracting archive installs all components of Snare, including icons, changelog documentation, and the SnareWEC.exe binary.

 

  • The Snare Enterprise Agent for Windows (WEC Only) download is accessible from the Snare customer portal, SLDM at Secure Area at https://customer.intersectalliance.com.  Authorisation credentials are provided by your Snare Support team or Snare representative.
  • You MUST have administrator rights to install Snare


The Snare agent has the following requirements:

  • The drive where Snare for Windows agent is installed requires a minimum of 10MB of free space. Additional free space is required to operate the agent.

If you have a Windows legacy agent (e.g. v4.x.x) then ensure you uninstall the legacy agent before installing the Windows agent with WEC.
