Introduction

Show/HideĀ is a feature used to hide certain columns or headers of the selected report.

Using Show / Hide Columns

On Cube Report

In a cube report, the report is usually in form of chart. If we want to display it in grid mode, then comes the feature for Show/Hide columns. It gives user option to display the desired columns as well as column headers.

There are 2 options at the top:

  • Select/Deselect All - Select/Deselect all the columns

  • Show Column Headers - Selected by default. Deselect to not display column headers

We also have option to sort our columns. On the left side, all column names are displayed in alphabetical order. On the right side, they are ordered as they are displayed in grid.

To change the order of display in grid, drag the column name from left to right on the position where you want it to be displayed.

E.g. In the screenshot below, we want Hour to be displayed at the top, so we dragged it from the left side to the right, at the topmost position. In this process, it pushed the first position column to the second position.

On Drillthrough

Show/Hide Column lists all the column names to select/deselect, as well as a textbox to search for column name in case list is very long.

On Score Card

Score Card already has standard set of columns. Use Show/Hide Columns to hide any column or column header.

On Generic Grid

This is similar to Cube Report show/hide option.

On Spreadsheet

If a report is selected from Choose Datasource, then the icon for Show/Hide Columns appears and you can then select/deselect any column to display on the spreadsheet.
