  • For stand alone installation of the Snare Agent Manager on Windows:
    Upon installation, start a browser and navigate to https://localhost:6261. Login with your credentials, using 'admin' as a username. After login you are presented with the SAM dashboard.
  • For Snare Agent Manager running on Snare Central Server,
    log in to the Snare Central Server web user interface and navigate to Agent Management | Snare Agent Manager. The Snare Agent Manager opens in a new tab.
  • When you access SAM for the first time after the installation, you will be greeted with a welcome screen with options to continue your journey with SAM. 
    Click Take me to the Dashboard.

  • If your dashboard does not have any agent information, then you may add a network to scan for agents. The scan will search for all snare agents on the network. SAM v2 will discover Agents of version 5.4.0 or newer only. Legacy and Open Source agents may be displayed if they were discovered by earlier version of SAM.

If by this stage, you have not added your SAM license, selecting LICENSE select Licenses > Add a new License in the dashboard menu and then add a license.  The SAM license is available from the Snare License and Download Manager (SLDM) or your Snare representative.
