Snare for macOS allows event logs from the macOS audit subsystem to be collected from the operating system, and forwarded to a remote audit event collection facility after appropriate filtering. Snare for macOS will also allow allows a security administrator to fully fully control the application through a standard web browser if so desired. Snare has been designed in such a way as to allow the remote control functions to be easily effected manually, or by an automated processeither through a Web User Interface (Web UI) or via editing the configuration file, allowing for process automation.
Agents are available for Windows, Linux, macOS, Epilog, MSSQL and many more. The agents are capable of sending data to a wide variety of target collection systems, including our very own Snare Central Server. (see Snare Server for further details). A feature of the Snare Server is the Agent Management Console that provides the ability to audit and manage the configuration of the Snare Agents within your environment, further discussed in Snare Agent Management Console.
